In your senior year at F.I.T. it is required that you take a mentor class (which is actually a great idea). My mentor was the great (and all round awesome guy) Sean Taylor Chapman. He gave me the assignment to make a cd cover and do a booklet for any album. The cd I chose was Ra Ra Riots "The Rhumb Line" (which is great fun). I'm really trying to explore my more graphic side right now and mash that in with my current style.
Heres how it came out:

Peter Emmerich
If I had to choose between all of my professors that would then shadow me as I did anything, it would probably have to be Peter Emmerich. Even as I was coloring this I heard him in my head commenting on every color I did and every line I drew. Which is great actually.
Anyway, I tried a new style of drawing (for me) in his class for a project (which I'll post later). He told me to explore it more and so I did... by drawing him and my classmates.
Heres my drawing of him.

Just some more quick tests
It's been raining a lot in New York recently which is to be expected seeing as it's almost April and all. I commute via the Long Island Rain Road and I saw this man standing with his wet coat and smoking a cigarette looking like he was freezing. It was a cool image in my head so I threw it down here in about an hour or two. This isn't finish yet but here's what it's all about so far.

Childrens Book
A class I'm taking currently is Childrens Book Illustration. I'm doing an adaptation of Sleeping Beauty. My goal is to enjoy it so I chose to do the book in a stained glass style. I'm keeping it traditional in the way of composition and things like that. I love old stained glass from churches.
Here's a color rough of one of the last pages.
